Dive into our engaging virtual professional development (VPD) micro-credentials that are tailored to deliver targeted strategies to empower administrators, school leaders, and teachers to enhance and turnaround schools. Accessible anytime, anywhere, our modules discuss best practices and provide opportunities to enhance your leadership abilities and drive positive change within your school community.  These micro-credentials are developed by the Texas A&M Educational Leadership Research Center (ELRC), with funding provided through a grant from Education Innovation and Research (EIR), the U.S. Department of Education.

Module 1: Embodying Effective Leadership Styles

 

  • Identify leadership styles that foster teacher engagement and productivity.
  • Describe how effective leadership styles influence positive outcomes for students and staff.

Module 2: What does a successful principal do differently?

 

  • Identify the key factors contributing to a principal's success in leading their school.
  • Understand the essential elements that enable school administrators to flourish in their roles.

Module 3: Developing a Succession Plan

 

  • Identify the qualities of effective systems for leadership succession.
  • Understand the critical importance of preserving institutional knowledge for school success.
  • Explore the challenges and opportunities associated with hiring internal and external candidates.
  • Examine the relationship between succession planning and talent management.

This is a three-module micro-credential that awards a certificate worth three continuing professional development units/hours (CPUs) upon completion.
