Dive into our engaging virtual professional development (VPD) micro-credentials that are tailored to deliver targeted strategies to empower administrators, school leaders, and teachers to enhance and turnaround schools. Accessible anytime, anywhere, our modules discuss best practices and provide opportunities to enhance your leadership abilities and drive positive change within your school community. These micro-credentials are developed by the Texas A&M Educational Leadership Research Center (ELRC), with funding provided through a grant from Education Innovation and Research (EIR), the U.S. Department of Education.
Module 1: A Leader's Influence and Impact
- Examine the role of an effective campus leader.
- Understand the impact campus leadership has on a school and its members.
- Explore ways influential leaders initiate change and improve schools.
Module 2: Building and Developing a Leadership Team
- Describe the dimensions of team learning.
- Identify the key roles in effective leadership teams and understand their significance.
- Implement strategies for cultivating diverse and inclusive leadership.
- Explain how succession planning contributes to the effective development of a leadership team.
Module 3: Cultivating Leadership Among Teachers
- Understand the importance of teacher leadership.
- Examine character traits of potential teacher leaders.
- Identify strategies to develop teacher leaders in your campus.
This is a three-module micro-credential that awards a certificate worth three continuing professional development units/hours (CPUs) upon completion.
