Dive into our engaging virtual professional development (VPD) micro-credentials that are tailored to deliver targeted strategies to empower administrators, school leaders, and teachers to enhance and turnaround schools. Accessible anytime, anywhere, our modules discuss best practices and provide opportunities to enhance your leadership abilities and drive positive change within your school community. These micro-credentials are developed by the Texas A&M Educational Leadership Research Center (ELRC), with funding provided through a grant from Education Innovation and Research (EIR), the U.S. Department of Education.
Module 1: Instructional Leadership
- Explore the concept of instructional leadership and what it looks like in schools.
- Examine the competencies possessed by effective instructional leaders and the benefits of instructional leadership.
- Identify challenges faced by instructional leaders.
Module 2: Risk-Taking Leadership
- Understand how risk-taking leadership complements instructional leadership.
- Explore the benefits and challenges of risk-taking leadership in schools.
- Identify ways to incorporate risk-taking leadership in schools.
Module 3: Transformational Leadership
- Understand the concept of transformational leadership.
- Recognize the behaviors of transformational leaders in schools.
- Explothe impact of transformational leaders on he school's climate, culture, and success.
This is a three-module micro-credential that awards a certificate worth three continuing professional development units/hours (CPUs) upon completion.
